The Role: CMO (Consultant) - lead all marketing efforts including brand, content & creative, impact, .com, social, email performance marketing, and PR & influencer
The Challenge: The right product at the right time. Joining Scout - North America sourced craft cannery - I was tasked to build the marketing engine as the start-up prepared to launch the brand across the US and Canada.
The Results:
- Built out a blended in-house and contracted Marketing Team to deliver brand and sales results (surpassed revenue target for launch quarter across DTC, wholesale and retail)
- Impact - created the brand’s first sourcing stories to connect consumers with the source of their seafood through video content (Case study here including YouTube, Reels, IGTV)
- Built key messaging house that drove consistent messaging across channels
- Drove brand awareness through earned media and influencer program across US and CAD in CPG, trade, CAD & US business profiles, food, and lifestyle
- Drove retention through email marketing (flows and drip) and social content & Chef created recipes, and campaign development
- Team Lead for issues and crisis comms
- Forecasted and managed marketing budget
